  • Part of Bishopsgate Institute London in Peril season, take a walk round the new ruins of London from 2pm. Book tickets, £8.
  • It's the Chap of the Year event at The Grand Hall, Euston Road, WC1H from 8pm. Dress appropriately. Tickets £20.
  • Cut A Shine Spring Hoe-down sounds awfully quaint but traditional barn dancers beware, there'll be a hole lot of moonshine and madness as music comes from the Foghorn Stringband from Portland Oregon, USA, playing “Ass Kickin' Redneck Stringband" tunes plus the awesome gypsy/punk/folk/rock stylings of Victor Menace. St John at Hackney on Lower Clapton Road is the venue. Buy £10 tickets. Doors 8-midnight.
  • DJ Format spins tunes at Bloomsbury Bowling Funk and Bowl. £5 adv, £8 on the door. 7pm-3am.
