Safety Campaigners ‘Flashride’ Cycle Protest At Blackfriars

The revised plans for Blackfriars Bridge did not go down well at the London Cycling Campaign.

Overnight they organised a protest cycle through the power of social networking, mustering around 300 people on bikes during rush hour this morning to ride across Blackfriars Bridge. The message – in the words of ibikelondon – to “demand that TfL and the Mayor start creating truly safe and comfortable conditions for cyclists; the majority road user on this bridge at peak times.”

    They have good reason to protest. For example, I want very much a motorcycle but I don’t  buy one because car drivers do not really pay attention to motorcycles and this happens not only in London but all over the world. A lot of accidents happends this days :(
