Dance Review: Northern Ballet's Cleopatra @ Sadler's Wells

Think Elizabeth Taylor… with pointe shoes

Pharaoh seeking Man:

Hi, my name is Cleopatra. Known to be DTE with GSOH, I’ve - well my partners - have been unlucky in love. With three significant relationships behind me I’m ready to find someone who can handle my demanding lifestyle.

A bit about me…

I’m headstrong and enjoy being in control. You need to be able to handle a dominant woman (husband number one couldn’t come to terms with this). I have a spiritual side, which you would do well to listen to (husband number two didn’t). I enjoy my sexuality, as did my third husband (but his wife wasn’t into sharing). I enjoy traveling and assimilating new cultures but have many commitments in Egypt which I will need to tend to on a regular basis.

You’ll need around 2 ½ hours for our date. I’ve had many adventures which I want to share with you, so you may need my programme notes to keep up. Expect to be dazzled as I’m assured my skills will impress plus the dancers from Northern Ballet are doing a pretty good job of supporting me. Look out for my duets as they will really give you an insight into my personality.

If you want to find out more I will be in London until 21st May. If you would like an audience with me call 0844 412 4300 or seek my availability online www.sadlerswells.com.

Hope to meet you soon. Meanwhile, check me out:

Northern Ballet: Cleopatra at Sadler’s Wells, Rosebery Avenue EC1 until 21st May. Tickets £10-40
