Experience an orchestral, spoken-word, contemporary dance collaboration in a Wren church tonight.
The original score for 'Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuzewas' was written by Haydn in response to a request to provide a series of slow musical interludes to the sequence of seven phrases and sermons which made up the Good Friday service at Cadiz in Spain. 'Haydn's Seven Last Words, reimagined' transports the piece to the present time, creating a new kind of ceremony and performance.
Text, dance and music will explore death and hope in St James' Piccadilly, tonight at 8pm.
