Do banks have a responsibility to contribute to the common good? If so, is the proposed Robin Hood Tax the solution?
These questions are being chewed over tonight at St Paul's Cathedral, in a panel debate organised by St Paul's Institute, CAFOD, Tearfund and The Salvation Army. The evening's being chaired by economist and BBC Radio 4 presenter Evan Davis. (Him off Dragon's Den, if you prefer.)
It's free to get in, and the debate is being followed by a Q&A session.
So if you want your opinions heard by the panel:
- Ken Costa, Chairman of Lazard International
- Rt Revd Peter Selby, Former Bishop of Worcester
- Michael Izza, CEO, Institute of Chartered Accountants
- Baroness Shirley Williams, House of Lords
pop along to St Paul's tonight from 7pm.
