Preview: The Robin Collective's Hive @ 56-58 Leather Lane

We know some of you think that Londonist is the bees' knees and that we always bring you the latest buzz on what's going on but if you want some real apiary action, we suggest you get down to Leather Lane over the next week (20-27 March) to see The Robin Collective's Hive.  A chip off St Heston of Blumenthal's block with their crazy science-based food creations, we last saw the Collective on New Year's Eve handing out colour-changing cocktails and tangy CO2 ice-creams.

Their latest project is to re-create a real walk-in bee hive where visitors can lounge in picnic spaces drinking experimental cocktails or Waggle Dance  beer and enjoying honey-infused food.  The more curious amongst you can check out the bee hotels while talking to flower experts or take part in the workshops, courses and talks which can be booked on the day or online.   To top it off, there will be a mini craft market next Sunday where Etsy and other UK sellers will be on hand with small business advice and their products.

If all this has whetted your appetite, we suggest you make a beeline to 56-58 Leather Lane.  More information available on the Robin Collective's official website.
