Pick Me Up Contemporary Graphic Art Fair Returns to Somerset House

Get this: fun, accessible and affordable art can be had in London … and all in one convenient location. Returning to the Embankment Galleries of Somerset House for a second year, Pick Me Up: Contemporary Graphic Art Fair brings a bit (actually quite a lot) of lowbrow colour to this otherwise highbrow setting.

From priced right prints to limited run books, ephemera and collectables, there's plenty to take in. At the press preview, Londonist was particularly blown away by colour-ific and witty giclées by Paul Blow (UK) and the wonderful black and white madness of French born artist McBess. Also impressive were the gobs o' stuff on offer from participating London shops such as Nobrow and Jaguar Shoes. In fact, we reckon there's all sorts of recommendation-worthy eye candy to check out and purchase (with prices for original art starting at around a tenner).

Pick Me Up: Contemporary Graphic Art Fair runs from 17-27 March at Somerset House, Embankment Galleries, Strand, WC2R 1LA. Admission is £7 (£5 for concessions). Visit www.somersethouse.org.uk/pickmeup for more details.
