Will Self And Monica Ali On London's Most Important Buildings

The Royal Academy recently began a fascinating series of lectures about London's architecture. As previously mentioned, four cerebral celebs each get the chance to expatiate on their favourite London buildings. We've already had Mike Leigh discussing near-contemporaries the British Museum and old Euston Station. Antony Gormley nominates the Hayward Gallery...but the event next week is already booked out.

Tickets for the final two talks are still available, however. Voldemort lookalike Will Self explains his unlikely nomination of Stockwell Bus Garage on 14 March. Brick Lane author Monica Ali also picks a target close to home when she champions the Museum of Immigration, Princelet Street, on 16 May.

Both events cost £12 (or £6 concessions) and will be held at the neighbouring Geological Society. Events start at 6.30pm and drinks will be served afterwards.
