Ticket Alert: Gigs on Sale Today

Stuart Murdoch of Belle and SebastianThere aren't any huge shows on sale this morning, but that just leaves room for some smaller, arguably more interesting acts. Here's our roundup of gigs going on sale today. Tickets to all these shows should be available from around 9 or 10am:

  • Poetic, melodious Scottish indie-pop group Belle and Sebastian play The Roundhouse on 29 and 30 May. With an album of new material to showcase, the delicate Scottish group will fill the beautiful Victorian venue with their equally beautiful, twangy, every-so-slightly twee sounds. Get your tickets here.
  • With their wistful harmonies and outdoorsy guitars, bearded wonders Fleet Foxes have always seemed something of a summer band. So let's hope for a sunny end to May, when the acclaimed folkies head for the Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets available here for their date on 31 May.
  • Since winning the BBC's Sound of 2011, Jessie J has been featured, well, all over the place. But it's hard to judge an artist from appearances on T4 and Later... alone, so why not experience the power of her voice in person at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on 5 April? Buy tickets now.
  • An accessible indie-pop sound means Two Door Cinema Club slot in neatly somewhere near The Drums and Bombay Bicycle Club. The only surprise is they haven't played a venue the size of Brixton Academy up till now. They'll set that right on 3 June. Tickets available from here.
  • He had the hype back near the start of the century, but despite a relative lack of commercial success, singer-songwriter Tom McRae still combines wistful lyrics, minimal guitars and a beautiful sense of melancholy to great effect. Along with a string quartet, he'll be playing the atmospheric St James's Church in the West End on 4 April. Don't miss it.
