Preview: TedxObserver @ Kings Place

As many readers will know, TED talks are among the treasures of the internet - short lectures by some of the world's greatest thinkers and innovators, recorded at numerous TED conferences around the world.

The TED brand is coming back to London in an independently produced event under licence to the Observer newspaper. TEDxObserver, at Kings Place on Saturday 19 March, places some heavyweight intellectual talent on stage alongside individuals with thought-provoking life stories.

We could parcel the line-up into paragraphs but, in the style of an efficient Powerpoint slide, here is a bulleted list:

  • Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish: Doctor and author
  • Cory Doctorow: Sci-fi writer, blogger, editor
  • Jason Drew: International businessman, serial entrepreneur
