London Peculiar: A Shop Of Unusual Londony Things

Anyone with a fondness for the history of London should take a look at London Peculiar, a new online shop for antiquities and memorabilia associated with the capital.

The site contains old maps, coins, posters, gin bottles, newspapers - even a policeman's whistle - diligently collected from specialist auctions, fairs and eBay by a London enthusiast. All goods, we're assured, are original, and you can arrange to view items at the company's Soho workshop ahead of purchase.

We'd also like to welcome Pepys, the site's pigeon mascot, into the London blogosphere. Pepys is the second blogging pigeon in London that we know of, following in the gnarled footsteps of Brian Pigeon. Click below for a few of the highlights from London Peculiar.
