Comedy Preview: Punt and Dennis @ Richmond Theatre

Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis have seemingly been around for ever. They hit the big time in the 1980s with the radio (and later TV) show The Mary Whitehouse Experiment with Rob Newman and David Baddiel.  After the show ended, Newman and Baddiel went on to enjoy a brief but spectacular megastardom, including being the first comedians to headline Wembley Arena, before splitting up.  Meanwhile Punt and Dennis soldiered on through BBC Radio and sitcoms before striking comedy gold again on radio (with The Now Show since 1998) and, for Hugh Dennis, on TV (Outnumbered and Mock The Week ) so who's laughing now?

Well, you could be as Punt and Dennis appear next Wednesday, 2nd February at the Richmond Theatre as part of their They Should Get Out More tour.  Taking the tour title quite seriously, they are on the road for ten weeks around the country but this is their only London show. So, if you're a fan of their satirical sideswipes at modern society, grab this chance with both hands: Punt and Dennis rarely tour and, as Newman and Baddiel showed, fame is a mighty fickle thing.

Tickets for the show are available from the Richmond Theatre website or box office.  See here for more information.
