The Oubliette Move Into Limelight

The Oubliette Collective have moved into Interim Base 7 on Shaftesbury Avenue at Cambridge Circus, in the building formerly home to the Limelight nightclub and until last year, a Walkabout.

To celebrate they're running a 3 day long event showcase of new work at their new Arthouse and helping to raise the profile of the Belarus Free Theatre who performed at the Young Vic recently to draw attention to the oppression of free speech in Belarus.

The creative and artistic Oubliette entered the building legally through an open Fire Exit door, after it had stood empty for 12 months.

They are looking for artists of all disciplines to fill the main auditorium with work, especially print-based work. They want workshops, classes and networking events organisers for afternoon/early evening activities. A five metre long projection screen is crying out for films to share and the main stage needs nightly performing arts. If you just want to be in on the act but don't have an act to share, then you could volunteer behind the scenes.
