November is upon us, and with it, a milestone birthday. This week would have been the 70th birthday of Frank Zappa, and the Roundhouse will be given over to a long weekend of celebrations. The weekend will include film screenings, a Q&A with Gail and Dweezil Zappa, and the Mighty Boosh playing the music of Frank. Here's what you can do the rest of the week if you're not a Zappa fan:

Tonight, one-half of Outkast, Big Boi, will be making his London solo debut at the Forum. Across town, Former Ghosts will be making a rare showing with Zola Jesus and Xiu Xiu.

Tuesday, post-punk dup Little Fish will be at Old Blue Last with support from the sonically spastic Awolnation.

Motown fans should make a point of catching Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings at the Roundhouse on Wednesday.

Combine your Bonfire Night with a little indie rock. MEN, the disco punk project from Le Tigre lady JD Samson are playing at Electrowerkz, along with Wild Palms, who are launching their single "To the Lighthouse." There will also be a fireworks display from the rooftop.

If you're looking for something a little more low key after the excitement of Friday, we once again direct you to the Forum for Tunng and Sam Amidon.

Finally, round out the weekend at Queen Elizabeth Hall with roots rocker Micah P Hinson, who will be special appearance backed by a full orchestra.
