Dinner by Heston Blumenthal: Reservations Open 9am Tomorrow

The year’s most awaited restaurant launch may now not be happening until next year, but new is just in that bookings for Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park will be taken from 9am tomorrow morning.

The magic number is 020 7201 3830. The hotel is, unsurprisingly, expecting lines to busy, so are urging people to use the online booking system at www.dinnerbyheston.com. As we wrote this, the URL was simply linking to The Fat Duck’s website, but we are assured it will be live for tomorrow and include details of exactly what’s bookable. Will reservations be taken for the £25 lunch menu?

The restaurant will open on 31st January 2011.

    Managed to secure a reservation for dinner on the second evening.
    The opentable website which you are forwarded to when booking did not give ANY available times for the opening day – perhaps you had to ring? Still – excited non the less!

    Didn’t ring until 12 o’clock, was 7th in queue. But still got a table…March! Were still a few slots left for each month. Something to look forward to…

    Phoning in was impossible – we used 3 phones! Online booking was great and got a Saturday dinner reservation at end of Feb – Christmas present sorted for my husband!

    I called at 9am on the dot, but line was busy. Couldn’t book online this morning as Open Table needs Flash and I was out and about on my flashless iPhone, but booked later and have a lunch reservation on 2nd Feb.

    Not quite opening evening, but hey.
