Well, you didn't make that easy. Over 300 photos were submitted to the project pool and it took several rounds of shortlisting to whittle it down to 40 superb shots for our exhibition.
The brief was to take pictures of the Thames but we specified no straight tourist shots. These photos were selected becaus they give us surprising, alternative, dark or quirky views of the Thames and show us the history and future of London's watery artery through a lens. The set are unusual, beautiful and eclectic. Individually, they tell a story, say something about London life or simply capture a stunning moment in time along the river.
The exhibition goes up on Monday afternoon at Foyles Gallery and is open during Foyles' normal opening hours until Sunday 24 October. Please join us for the private view and end of show party on Friday 22 October between 6.30-9pm. There will be special commendations for five photos, to be awarded by our judging panel:
