Tonight: Wonderland Verbal Slap presents poetry, spoken word and beatbox at Counter Culture, 7-9 Crucifix Lane, SE1 from 7pm - £5/3.

Friday: Last chance for a free cup of coffee this morning!

Come to the private view and party for Thames Barrier to Teddington at Foyles Gallery on 3rd Floor, Foyles, Charing Cross Road, WC2. Free, all welcome, 6.30-9pm.

Saturday: Apple fans - the fruit, that is - can flock to Maiden Lane Community Centre at 156 St Paul's Crescent, NW1 for an Apple Day of fun. Or visit the One Tree Hill allotments in Honor Oak SE23 for community apple pressing between 1-5pm.

SOAS host the South Asian Festival as part of the Bloomsbury Festival between 11am-4pm.

Sunday: The Southwark Autumn harvest celebration, October Plenty, takes place on Bankside from midday, mixing seasonal customs and contemporary festivities.

Swish! in Highbury (take old clothes, come away with new things without spending a penny) between 3-5pm.

Catch the free big dance finale of the Bloomsbury Festival in Russell Square at 4.30pm.

Watch Toy Story 3 on the Roxy's brand new projector at 8pm, £3.

Monday: Join the regular free pub quiz at the Royal George Pub, off Charing Cross Road, WC2.

Tuesday: Top tips on publishing a first novel at City University at 6pm. Free but please book. Part of the Inside Out Festival.

Wednesday: South London Gallery screens Marguerite Duras "In the World of Images" exploring film making at 7pm, £5/3. Try the cafe while you're there.

Discover a Brief History of Men's Underwear at London College of Fashion between 5-6pm (free but book). Part of the Inside Out Festival.
