Drift 2008
Drift, the bi-annual contemporary art show held on the Thames, returns next week. Organised by Illuminate Productions, this year's work includes an LED video installation opposite Tate Modern, a "wind-powered fog light", and a man folding a giant origami boat at St. Katherine's Dock. It all sounds interesting, yet be warned: Drift 2008 also promised the world and delivered little of note. Our reviewer at the time thought it badly curated and criticised the placement of artworks, many of which could have been about any river, not specifically old Father Thames. Room for improvement this year, then. Drift 2010 runs from 2nd November to 8th January, at various sites along the river.
