The Design Museum aren't the only ones rejoicing at Lottery cash today. A former home of Britain's most celebrated designer has also bagged a cool £1.5 million. The William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow will spend the Heritage Lottery Fund money, plus an equal injection from Waltham Forest Council, on a new exhibition space and education programmes. The local museum holds a huge collection of Morris-a-belia, which came close to dispersal three years ago. Kudos to the tireless local campaigners who fought so long to secure the future of this treasured museum.
