Choose Your Own Bus-Tops

BusStop.jpg The team behind Bus-Tops needs your help! The digital art installations designed for the tops of bus shelters across London got us very excited when we first heard about it, and this Artists taking the lead project is at the stage where public opinion is being sought. It's the regular bus users in London who will benefit the most from Bus-Tops - all those drowsy top deck passengers who can have their journeys brightened up by an art exhibition that spreads out across bus route 25...

So if that's you, and you want to nominate which bus stops get a Bus-Top installation, you can. There is now a map of all the bus stops good for a Bus-Top installation; you can enter the address or postcode of the area you'd like to see a Bus-Top installed and have a good look at the shelter in situ and see what else is around it, then nominate it to be part of the Bus-Tops network. The bus stop Bus-Tops will be in place and displaying artwork from July 2011 until end of September 2012 (perhaps even beyond...?) so bearing in mind that 14 month duration, and the international visitors who will see them thanks to the Olympics, choose carefully, choose thoughtfully but above all choose some bus shelters. The Bus-Tops are coming, and you can have your say. And while you're zooming about looking at London's finest, luckiest bus stops, have a look at the prototype of the actual Bus-Top screen prototype. New art for London doesn't get much more London-y than this.
