Boxing Preview: Personality Clash

MarianneFightPoster.jpg Bethnal Green’s York Hall, holy ground for London’s boxing scene, hosts an epic evening of fisticuffs and spilled claret for Londoners seeking a pugilistic thrill this weekend. The Steve Goodwin promoted event ‘It’s Personal’ features a quality line-up of UK boxing’s finest, and the long awaited professional debut of British female boxer Marianne ‘Golden Girl’ Marston.

Top of the fightcard features Hackney hero  Mark "The Flash" Alexander head to head against former English Super Featherweight champion Ryan Barrett for a championship title.

Co-headlining the evening is undefeated Light Middleweight rising star ‘Phat’ Pat McAleese, who faces a yet to be named opponent. No less than 5 undefeated fighters support the double-header title fights, Cruiserweight Tony Conquest, 4 (1KO)-0, Welterweight John Wayne Hibbert, 6(4KO)-0, Lightweight Bradley Evans 5-0-1, Light Middleweight Michael Norgrove 2-0 and Lightweight Tony Owen 7(1KO)-0 defending their unblemished records against currently unnamed opposition.

A major talking point for the event is Marianne Marston’s highly anticipated debut against Lana Cooper, in an exciting showcase of female boxing prowess. The professional debuts of up and coming Lightweight Jamie Arlain and exciting, Ultrachem TKO Trained, Light Heavyweight Joel McIntyre round out a fine evening of the gentleman’s (and gentlewoman’s) sport.

An evening at London’s historic York Hall is not to be missed - boxing enthusiasts and newbies alike will enjoy the skilful displays of endurance and strength on offer Saturday night.
