Though it might not seem the most sensually arousing of venues, a night of erotic intrigue is promised at the Barbican tomorrow evening. The centre’s conservatory garden room will be transformed into a bawdy playhouse for one night only, with Johnny BlueEyes and Lara Clifton hosting a lascivious night of performance, art, dance, poetry, fashion, photo shoots, experimental sounds and, naturally, pole dancing. Sounds promising, but we’re hoping the atmosphere is less funereal than that of the pop-up cafe recently housed in the conservatory. Erotic, at the Barbican, 26th August 2010, from 7pm. Tickets £12 and include entry to the Surreal House exhibition
