Sir Terry Pratchett

Following on from last year's successful event, Chiswick Book Festival is back with a weekend-long lineup with something for everyone.

It kicks off on Friday 17 September with Sir Terry Pratchett introducing his new book I Shall Wear Midnight. On Saturday, the Children's Book Festival features Josh Lacey, Anthony McGowan and the Fast Show's Charlie Higson, author of the Young Bond series. Elsewhere, you can hear ex-cook Prue Leith, ex-Poet Laureate Andrew Motion and ex-armed robber Noel 'Razor' Smith. The fun continues on into Sunday with more talks, Adele Parks discussing chicklit, a creative workshop and a crime fiction tea where you can extend your pinkie and sniff for cyanide alongside Val McDermid and Kevin McNally.

Admission to most events is by a Festival Day Pass, costing £5 per day (Saturday and Sunday) but some events require individual tickets. Tickets are on sale now and from tomorrow at Waterstones on Chiswick High Street. Full details are here.

The full programme can be seen here.
