Fox Beaten To Death In Victoria Park

Police in Tower Hamlets have begun an investigation after a video that appears to show a masked gang beating a fox to death was posted online. The clip, which was briefly available on YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook before being deleted, shows the drugged animal being chased by a number of masked, cricket bat-wielding characters, who then parade their kill to camera. According to their website, the group are a "collective from Victoria Park" who "hate foxes" and are "doing something about it". The RSPCA and the League Against Cruel Sports are also looking into the matter. The attack comes in the wake of media-fuelled mass anti-fox hysteria that followed the savaging of two babies by a fox in Homerton earlier this year.
