Video: King's Cross In The 1950s

As King's Cross station undergoes major transformations, preparing to open a new western concourse and sweeping away the green canopy building at the front, now's a good time to step back into its past and see how the area used to look. This oddly soundtracked video gives a good, if lengthy, overview of the station and surrounding streets in the 1950s and early 1960s - a time when trains still belched steam and the ever-busy junction outside the station was populated by trolleybuses. With thanks to King's Cross Local Environment for the tip-off.
