A series celebrating the talent of our friends over in the Londonist Flickr pool. Here, they introduce themselves and share their favourite London shots. Today, Tom Kulbowski:

Tomasz 'Tom' Kulbowski was born in 1975 in Lublin, Poland and has been based in London since 2005. He graduated in Culture and Psychology studies (MA) at UMCS in Lublin in 2001 and has been working commercially mostly on corporate and event photography since. Privately interested in reportage, documentary and street photography he is working closely with several large institutions including the Polish Embassy and the Polish Professionals Association. He is an official Getty Images contributor and has been published in several online and print magazines worldwide. Winner of the Flora London Marathon Photography Award and Panasonic Lumix Award, he is currently finalising two long-term photography projects and working on an exhibition.

He considers himself a documentary photographer using street photography techniques like decisive moment to memorise, explore and explain the reality he encounters. His main focus is people in the city with their everyday rituals, with a special interest in solitude in the crowd and anonymity in a big city. He's interested in the raw presentation of reality through photography and thinks of his work as a comment, rather than an interpretation.
