According to the chap we spoke to, they were installing five bikes in this 16-berth station, though he wasn’t sure if that pattern was being repeated across town.
TfL claims that 5,000 bikes will be ready tomorrow across more than 300 docking station, but Boris Johnson has already admitted that there will be teething troubles. We’ll be out riding the bikes bright and early (they’re available from 6am) to see how things are running.
