So, we spoke too soon. Ken Livingstone and Oona King are not alone in pursuit of the Labour nomination for Mayor. According to the BBC, two newcomers have entered the fray: party activists Seton During and Emmanuel Okoro. What do we know about these two? During is a 'chartered engineer and a former councillor in Enfield' (according to his CV, he's "Quite adept at services delivery costs reductions without threatening statutes and standards whilst sustaining customers/clients satisfactions." We're not sure what that means, but it sounds like it might be useful.). Emmanuel Okoro, meanwhile, is an artist with a strong line in community outreach. This shortlist will be confirmed next Thursday, and a decision announced on 24 September.
