The England football team suffered ignominious defeat at the hands of Germany in Bloemfontein yesterday but England supporters in Trafalgar Square continued to celebrate, even taking a post match bath in the fountains as a dour faced Lineker and co performed the damning match autopsy.
Fears that violence would kick off in nearby Leicester Square given the mass gathering of German supporters appear to have been largely overplayed, although the Telegraph reports an isolated incident of one unfortunate German fan falling foul of a taunting group of England supporters.
