Reprieve has been working with prisoners on death row (in addition, and more recently, with detainees in Guantanamo) for ten years now and to celebrate, there's a brilliant line-up of comedians at the Lyceum on Monday to raise funds for this excellent charity.

The most exciting news is that they've secured Tim Minchin in one of his few UK appearances this year, and pretty much the only one that isn't at a festival. The eyelinered Australian comedic-singer with a love of science is not, perhaps, one in a million (though he certainly falls within a bell curve - watch this song to find out what the hell we're on about) but definitely one of the top funny people around at the moment. But even saying that, he's got competition on a bill that also includes Londonist favourites Stewart Lee and Robin Ince, as well as Ed Byrne, Shappi Khorsandi, Kevin Eldon, Isy Suttie and Andy Zaltzman (and some others yet to be announced). Your hosts for the evening are Alistair Barrie and Reprieve director Clive Stafford-Smith.

Tickets are a bit steep at £30 / £25, but when you consider the cause and what you get for your cash, we think it's actually rather good value.

Reprieve Night is Monday 7th June, 7.30pm, at the Lyceum Theatre. Tickets are £30 / £25 concessions. Find out more on Facebook and book tickets through Ticketmaster.
