Avram Grant To Join West Ham

0206_westham.jpg Former Chelsea and Portsmouth boss Avram Grant is expected to be named manager of West Ham in the next 48 hours, reports BBC Sport. The amphibious Israeli earned plaudits this season at Pompey, guiding the team to an FA Cup final spot despite administration and a crippling points deduction that saw the team relegated. Grant had happier times when he was last in the capital: in 2008 he took Chelsea to the final of the Champion's League, with only John Terry's mishit penalty denying the Blues victory. With that pedigree, Irons fans will hope he can improve on the team's limp performance last season. Given Grant's alleged nocturnal proclivities, the news may please certain Thai establishments in the East End.
