7p Afternoon Tea At The Langham

langhamre.jpg The Langham Hotel was recently crowned Best Afternoon Tea in London by the Tea Guild. With such delectable treats as horseradish and smoked salmon sandwiches, the crumbliest of scones and intricate cakes and pastries, we're not surprised.

This little lot will normally set you back £35, but to celebrate the hotel's 145th birthday (try fitting those candles on a cake), the Palm Court brasserie will be serving afternoon tea for just 7p, the modern day equivalent of its original one shilling and sixpence price tag of 1865.

The teas will be available at this miniscule price next Thursday (10th June) between 12.30pm and 5pm, but you'll have to be quick as there's only about 60 available. Phone lines for booking opened today, so BOOK NOW on 020 7965 0195 or online here.

Bookings are for a maximum of 4 people. If you manage to get a seat, look out for the carrot cake hidden within a soft chocolate shell and try the unique Beefeater Gin tea, with all the botanical flavours but no actual gin.

Good luck!
