Free Festival For Tate Modern's Tenth Birthday

This weekend, Tate Modern celebrates a decade of existence at Bankside Powerstation by throwing a free arts festival party with extra special late opening to chime with the ace Museums at Night line up. If you're already in a quandary about which late night events to go to the good news is that Tate Modern will be open until the witching hour on Friday and Saturday, so you needn't miss out on the free birthday fun. No Soul For Sale: A Festival of Independents brings new art from all over the world to the Turbine Hall. Watch out for performances led by the Cholmondeleys Dance Group infiltrating gallery spaces and there will be music. On Saturday, follow the wheelbarrow procession on the Southbank and on Sunday, have a squizz at the community display Banksidemews. It all goes off this weekend, 14-16 May 2010.
