The Appleton Estate Bartender's Challenge will be held at Floridita in Soho this coming Monday the 24th. It's free to attend and offers a chance for members of the public to sample cocktails made by a trio of hot shot bartenders from throughout the UK.
After proving themselves at heats in Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast and Bristol, three of Britain's “finest mixologists” will be tested on the 24th on their efficiency, knowledge, dexterity, personality and originality as they make classic rum cocktails such as the Mojito, Mai Tai, Daiquiri and Jamaican Mule, as well as their own original drink recipes. Attendees will vote on the bartenders' skills while listening to live jazz followed by a "funky beats" deejay. Jamaican canapés will be served too.
Floridita is located at 100 Wardour Street (W1F 0TN). The Appleton Estate Bartender's Challenge starts at 7pm. For tickets email [email protected].
