Extraordinary Film Season @ Roxy Bar & Screen

As you can't have failed to notice by now, elephants are currently more ubiquitous around London than damp campaign rosettes. Kudos to the clever people at Roxy Bar & Screen for lining up a pair of celluloid pachyderms as part of their Extraordinary Film Season. On Monday 10 May a double bill presents Elephant (2003) by Gus van Sant and Elephant (1989) by Alan Clarke, neither of which has much to do with trunk-laden mammals and everything to do with mass murder.

The series of unusual and influential films continues on into June. Highlights include another chance to see Patrick Keiller's London (1994) on 18 May, Christopher Nolan's Memento (2000) on 16 May and cult sci-fi staple Logan's Run (1976) on 24 May. But, frankly, every one of these 40 films is a highlight.

Prices and times vary, so check site for details.
