East London Line Now Open Weekends

After a reasonably successful testing period on weekdays, the East London line will open on Saturdays and Sundays from this weekend (May 15th) onwards, according to in-station advertisements. The line will keep similar opening times, from 7am to 8pm on Saturday, and 8am to 8pm on Sunday; perfect if you're a Rotherhithe resident and find yourself kicked out of the Dalston Jazz Bar of a weekend dawn. The line's official opening date remains May 23rd, when the service will extend to early mornings and evenings, and run southwards to Crystal Palace and East Croydon.
