Next time your grocery shopping jaunt to South Ken's Whole Foods Market leaves you feeling a bit raw, consider popping up to the first floor food court for a taste of vegan freshness at the newly opened Saf Restaurant and Bar. No longer just a Shoreditch hipster hang out with a fine dining venue on Curtain Road, Saf's second London location seats 83 and is to offer private catering, a signature Saf-To-Go take away range and is to host on-going cookery, wine and cocktail making demonstrations and classes. As carnivorous as Londonist may be, we've gotta give it up to Saf for its feel good food and reckon dishes such as their beetroot ravioli (tomato, basil and marinated red onion layered with macadamia nut and olive oil mozzarella) are about as yummy as it gets.

If last night's launch is any indication of what's to come, West London's in for a tastily nutritious treat. Whole Foods Market is located in The Barkers Building on Kensington High Street (W8 5SE) just north of the Tube station. Visit Saf online at www.safrestaurant.co.uk.
