Preview: British Sea Power's Man of Aran

As a follow-up to their ambitious 2008 album,Do You Like Rock Music?, British Sea Power undertook a multi-media project (talk about ambitious). The band soundtracked the 1934 silent film, Man of Aran, lending their massive guitar sound to the story of the people of the Aran Islands—very suitable for a band known for bringing visions of nature to their songs and sometimes their stage.

BSP will be giving a rare performance of Man of Aran this Tuesday at Union Chapel. In addition to hearing their full soundtrack with the film playing the in background, they will also play an acoustic set of songs from their other albums prior to the film. This should more than make up for every band you've ever seen use Windows Media Player-style animation for their live visuals.
