Banking Backlash Continues

The latest shocking news in the world of finance is that bankers are using an increase in vacancies to play potential employers off against each other in the hope of gaining higher salaries. It's hard to think of another industry where this could be considered news or even particularly unusual, but it appears that the striped shirt brigade are still in the doghouse and should be checking down the back of the sofa for the bus fare rather than having the effrontery to look for new jobs. Still, it looks like there will be a few of them around as headhunting firms predict a sharp rise in vacancies so maybe some of those laid off last year will get a look in. Photo by Ed.ward
