Earth Hour: London Landmarks Go Dim

black.jpg This Saturday (27th) from 8.30 the planet will get ever so slightly dimmer. Buildings both private and public will once again flick their switches to off in support of Earth Hour, an initiative by the WWF to raise awareness of climate change and energy issues. In London, landmarks including the London Eye, Big Ben, Canary Wharf and the Gherkin will participate. Some bright spark (hopefully not to be extinguished on Saturday) has built this interactive map showing which UK counties are being most supportive, by percentage population. Greater London currently languishes in seventh place (we need 473 signups to overtake Surrey). So, sign up and switch off.
