Blood, Sweat And Fears - Live Magazine Event

Woe, nobody wants to buy magazines any more! Alas, the internet is the only medium anyone is interested in! Wrong, cry the Blood, Sweat and Fears team as they present their magazine as a real life event in central London tonight and over the weekend. Students from Central Saint Martin's and London College of Fashion are defying the hand-wringers who cry doom and gloom about the death of print journalism by presenting a living magazine - live.

We're actually a little late coming to the party as the interactive 'magazine as live event' kicked off on Wednesday of this week and will continue until end of Sunday. There are still some great activities to get involved with: a live fashion shoot, a music promo shoot, bands will play, performers will perform, artists will be selling their wares. There's also a screen printing factory, a wall for classified ads, tea parties and musical instrument-making workshops to bring to life all the elements we expect from a magazine. A limited edition publication will be released in May based on the live events of this week - pre-order at the event or online, all proceeds go to Art Against Knives, as will all sales at the live event.

Head to Broadwick Street, just off Carnaby Street tonight, tomorrow and / or the day after to see for yourself just how dead print magazines are right now... not very if Blood, Sweat and Fears are in charge.

Blood, Sweat and Fears live magazine, 65/67 Broadwick Street W1F 9QU, tonight, Saturday and Sunday. For more information, go to the Blood, Sweat and Fears website or Facebook page.
