Coulrophobics look away now - it's the Grimaldi Memorial Service this Sunday.

Tonight: It's Late at the Museum of London tonight 6-9pm with a love theme and the climax of Write Queer London with performances and prize giving. Free admission. It's also part of First Thursdays and, although there won't be a bus tour this month, lots of East End galleries are open later for your viewing pleasure.

Friday: Join us at the New Moons and Cell Mates launch at the Old Police Station, New Cross, 7-11pm.

Saturday: It's LGBT History Month and Southwark is celebrating with a photography installation at Menier Chocolate Factory, Another Side of the Rainbow. The exhibition explores sexual orientation and features profiles of members of the LGBT community (free, open 10am-6pm). North of the river, Drawn out and painted pink is an exhibition at the Drill Hall documenting LGBT history from the 70s to the present day in cartoons £3, £5 with programme, until 28 Feb.

Sunday: Clowns in full motley and slap will descend on Holy Trinity Church in Dalston for the annual Grimaldi memorial service at 3pm. We're advised this is hugely popular even though the thought terrifies some so show up early if you want to get into the church. An exhibition from the Clowns International Archive will be on display (normally it's only available the first Friday of each month 12-5)

Thames 21 are cleaning up North Greenwich Thames foreshore between 12-2.30pm at Mudlarks Pier. Dress for mud and be prepared to get filthy.

Take a guided tour of Belgravia's most historic and picturesque pubs with a City of Westminster Guide from 2pm (including 3 stop offs for snifters). Email westminsterwalks@yahoo.co.uk for more details and to book your place, £5 a head.

Monday: Give due consideration to the Great Ideas of Biology at the Royal Society's free public lecture tonight from 6.30pm.

Tuesday: Another great film night at the Grant Museum of Zoology. This time it's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, free from 6.30pm and the lovely chaps will give you a free glass of wine too for your wander round the incredible collection.

Wednesday: Polari in St Paul's Pavilion at the top of the Royal Festival Hall. Max Schaefer reads from his debut novel 'Children of the Sun', and Mia Farlane reads from her debut novel Footnotes to Sex with live songs from Celine Hispiche from 6.30pm. It's free but you need to book a ticket and there's a 'transaction fee' for that. So if you reserve online it'll cost you £1.45.
