Trocadero Hotel Plan Approved

1101_trocadero.jpg The proposal to convert the Trocadero in Piccadilly Circus into a "pod hotel" has been approved by Westminser council. 495 windowless rooms, some of them just 12sq m, will be packed into the space between the 2nd and 7th floors of the building, but for the budget-conscious the prices are similarly petite: rates will be between £20 and £40 a night. Developers have yet to announce how they will deal with the legion trapped souls wandering the building at night who believe, like forest-stricken Japanse soldiers still fighting WW2, that they're in an ongoing game of Alien War.
