More Tube Strikes Threatened Over Work Rosters

London Tube commuters can look forward to a tepid goulash of misery following a ballot for strike action by the RMT union. Around 750 maintenance staff yesterday voted 12-1 in favour of downing tools, this time over shift rosters and outsourcing policies by London Underground. After strapping on his magical vest to deflect any black pots and kettles, RMT leader Bob Crow accused LU managers of 'bully boy' tactics in setting conditions for its workforce. LU describe the claims as 'ludicrous'. No date has been made public for the inevitable strike, which would affect all lines but the Piccadilly, Northern and Victoria.
