12 Hours @ The Nunnery This Saturday

hour_nunnery.jpg This Saturday there's a one off, 12 hour, aural visual installation at Bow Arts Trust's The Nunnery Gallery.

Hour started out as a 1 hour film, a collaboration between the visual artist Tim Wainwright & composer Chris Letcher. It aimed to explore the process of contemplation using abstract imagery and a composed 'surround-sound' soundtrack and premiered at this year's City of London Festival.

Extrapolating from there, this Saturday the 1 hour film will be looped with the soundtrack slightly out of sync so that the visual and the sonic will interact in unintended, interrogative, possibly clashing, hopefully beautiful and surprising ways as every sequence of images over the period combines with a new sequence of sound. There's no need to stay the full 12 hours but we reckon a drop by might be an interesting audio-visual experience.

Hours is at The Nunnery, 103 Bow Road, E3 between 10am and 10pm on Saturday 9 January. Free
