Boris Island Under Attack

plane.jpg No, not from a small army of Ken Livingstone supporters armed with sharp sticks, but from Medway Council who have branded the proposal 'pie in the sky'. We thought it was more like 'pie in the river' but seeing as it's been on, then off, then on, then off again, it could end up being neither. Or maybe it could. Who knows? Along with the previously-stated concerns over the environmental impact of Boris Island, the council point out that the site is uncomfortably close to the liquid natural gas port at Thamesport and planes would also be 12 times more likely to be hit by birds.
