Have Your Say On The Future Of Victoria Park

0512_vickypark.jpg Being one of the key routes toward the Stratford site, Victoria Park is due for a £12 million refurbishment ahead of the 2012 Olympics. As revealed earlier in the year, the plans include giving the current facilities a bit of a spruce-up, while some of the more outlandish ideas involve building a waterfall and artificial beach on one of the lakes. Today, Tower Hamlets council are running the last in a series of public consultations on the future of the park, and just how the money should be spent. The session runs from 10am - 4pm near the Pavilion Cafe, with a special Q&A at 2pm. If you want to bone up in advance before going down and grilling councillors, the plans are available for perusal online.
