Santa's Lap: BT Tower Cross Stitch

Every day until Christmas the Londonist team will be pointing you in the direction of a Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won't already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we'll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings...

If those BT Tower enthusiasts in your life (so many people), prepare to make them even more excited than they were when they heard the news about a potential restaurant re-opening. Make Industries are currently offering a cross stitch kit of the tower itself for £22.50 and we've already bought two of these for our friends. The finished product is 29cm high and in the box you'll get fabric, anchor threads, needles and easy to follow instructions meaning fun can be had even if you've never done cross stitch before. The designer Tina Fox is a former architect and we love the idea of her missing her former profession and turning it into art.

The tower's our personal favourite, but you can also happily stitch away at the Battersea Power Station and Lloyds of London instead.
