Libertines fans and others curious as to what Pete… sorry, Peter Doherty is up to these days should get over to Proud Camden on Thursday. Babyshambles – the four-piece Doherty formed in 2003 – have been announced as not-so-secret guests at the venue’s regular Smash & Grab night.
Don’t let the tabloid stories and previous ragged performances put you off. If it all comes together (and assuming Doherty is over his recent medical episode), Babyshambles are more than capable of electrifying the small venue. You might even forget about all the firework displays you’ll be missing out on.
