The Girl Power-ed fivepiece are set on wheezing a little bit more life into their careers by performing at the opening ceremony. Well, as strong perhaps as the band's last comeback in 2007, which despite an initial surge of interest fizzled out after the treacly joy of nostalgia wore off. Even the Girls' most ardent fans would concede that the pop music world has moved on since their late-Nineties heyday; parading them at 2012 would be an insult to our modern, more talented musicians.
